Can People Ever Truly Change?
Short answer: YES.
Longer answer:
Yes, yes, yes.
In fact, that’s almost all we ever do throughout our lives.
Change is not just possible—it’s inevitable.
We are changing right now, even in this moment.
Every thought.
Every choice.
Every action.
Every quiet recalibration you make when you notice a pattern and decide—I want better for myself.
The Myth of Being “Stuck”
Many people feel trapped—like change is something just out of reach.
We get stuck in fear, stuck in habits, stuck in other people’s expectations.
Sometimes when we feel stuck for too long, sometimes we start to pull others down too.
Not out of malice. Out of fear.
Out of the painful belief: If I can’t change, neither can you.
But that’s the great illusion.
Change doesn’t come from punishing yourself.
It comes from remembering—you are not the person you were yesterday.
You never have been.
Governing Ourselves—and Others—Permission to Grow
One of the most radical acts of love you can offer yourself and others is this:
Permission.
Permission to evolve.
Permission to shed the skins of the past.
Permission to wake up one day and be a little lighter, a little softer, a little more sovereign than the day before.
Because here’s the truth:
When we refuse to see someone’s growth—when we keep projecting their old story onto them—we don’t just stifle their expansion.
We stifle our own.
By locking others in a box labelled “unchanging,” we quietly whisper to ourselves:
“Maybe I can’t change either.”
And what a tragedy that would be—to go through a lifetime without ever reaching back to help your own inner self climb to a higher timeline.
The Reflection You Are Building
Every time you extend grace to someone who is trying to grow, you build a reflection for yourself.
Every time you allow someone to outgrow their past, you reinforce the truth that you can too.
We are living mirrors.
Change ripples outward—not through force or punishment, but through possibility.
When You Feel the Spark—But Don’t Know Where to Go Yet
Sometimes the hardest part isn’t realising you want to change—it’s figuring out what to do next.
That moment of awakening can feel overwhelming, like thawing from ice and standing in a wide, open field with no map. I remember that feeling vividly. There was a time early in my journey when I knew there was no going back—no returning to old patterns, no shrinking myself to fit into a life that no longer resonated. But I had no idea what I was supposed to do instead.
If you’re in that space now—it’s okay.
In fact, it’s more than okay.
It’s sacred.
The spark—the desire to change—is the best part.
It means you’re alive to new possibilities. Your future paths are wide open. You are standing at the threshold of your next becoming.
You don’t need to have all the answers right now.
You don’t need a grand plan.
You just need one step.
Start by paying attention to what sparks even the smallest glimmer of joy in you.
Sometimes you have to go digging.
Back into childhood memories.
Back into the hobbies you once loved but abandoned.
Back into the big dreams you once had but talked yourself out of.
Ask yourself:
What did I love to do before the world told me what I was “supposed” to want?
Where does my mind drift when it’s allowed to wander?
What activities make time feel different—lighter, faster, softer?
Flow state is your compass.
Any activity that bends time for you—that pulls you into full presence—is a breadcrumb toward your soul’s path.
If you don’t know what you want yet, that’s okay.
Start seeking.
Start journalling.
Start asking new questions.
Start visiting new places—different cafés, libraries, parks, art galleries.
Start consuming different ideas—new books, new podcasts, new conversations.
The more you change your input, the more your internal landscape will shift too.
You are not running out of time.
It’s ok to try things first and realise it’s not your path, you don’t need to go straight from here directly into your life’s purpose.
Part of the fun of life is the play, the trial and error and the learning that comes with doing something unexpected.
Every journey begins with one step—and this is yours.
Practical Ways to Anchor Change (Your Quantum Compass)
Meditate on it and ask for guidance from your higher self / spirit / god.
Try to visualise the new version of you that has it all figured out, what would it feel like to wake up and be that person?
What clothes would they wear? How do they carry themselves when they walk into a room?
Be patient, it will not come to you all in one go.
The ideas and inspiration for your more aligned life will not (generally) come to you as one fully formed idea ready to launch.
It will come through in parts, as an idea or memory, in dreams and symbols, a momentary conversation with a stranger.
Change isn’t just an idea. It’s a daily practice.
Here are a few ways you can physically anchor the version of you that you are becoming:
1. Change Your Outfit, Change Your Timeline
Clothes can change your energy.
Try picking a new outfit that feels like your future self would wear it.
(If money’s a barrier, check out an op shop—or borrow something from a friend or family member.)
You don’t have to throw your whole wardrobe out.
Sometimes, just finding one new outfit—or even a new combination of pieces you already own—can help you step into the energy of who you’re becoming.
I did this recently when I started a new job. I created a few fresh combinations that felt more aligned with this next chapter.
When you’re moving through a big shift—whether in your career or your life—changing how you dress, updating your hairstyle, or even just carrying yourself differently helps bridge the gap between the internal transformation and the external reality you’re creating.
2. Carry a Quantum Relic
Choose an object—like a necklace, ring, or charm—that feels like it “glitched” through from your future timeline.
Treat it like a multidimensional gift: a physical reminder that the future you is already reaching backward, anchoring clues for you to follow.
Every time you touch it, you’re aligning to that new self.
You’re walking the thread they already laid for you.
3. Change Your Routine (Let the Universe Speak)
Habits are spells. Break the autopilot.
Walk a different way home.
Visit a new location.
Let yourself stop when intuition nudges: “Let’s go this way. Let’s pause here.”
Stop and smell the flowers — literally. Metaphorically too.
These tiny shifts create ripple effects you can’t even imagine yet.
Even just psychologically priming your brain for change and novelty.
Instead of making new routines, make trying new things your routine.
This opens new doors—and will awaken your quantum compass: that inner navigation system guiding you toward the highest version of your life.
✍️ Journaling Prompt:
“What is one part of myself I am ready to update—and what old version of me do I choose to thank and release?”
Which activities make me forget to check the time?
Is there a childhood dream I quietly packed away? What would it feel like to open that box again?
What would I do differently if I trusted that everything unfolding now was perfectly timed?
🌿 Bonus Practice:
Choose one physical change this week—a new outfit, a talisman, a different path—and notice how your energy shifts when you honour your internal changes with something that reflects it back to you in your daily life.
