Most people who end up in AppSheet didn't plan to become app designers. They were handed a problem, told there was no budget for a developer, and figured it out. That's exactly how I started too.

How I got here

I built my first real AppSheet app while working as Practice Manager at a telehealth clinic. We had a 700-plus patient caseload, a practice management system that didn't talk to anything else, and no developer. I was a nurse who knew his way around a spreadsheet. So I built it myself.

By the time I was done, the app was pulling patient data across multiple sources, automating nurse follow-up calls, tracking prescription postage and pharmacy dispatch, sending patient forms and feedback requests, and generating email content from live records. Clinical staff and admin used it daily.

I've kept building since then. The free AppSheet course on this site documents one of those builds in full, step by step, so you can follow along and learn the same way I did.

What I offer

A second pair of eyes from someone who has actually built and maintained complex AppSheet apps in a real healthcare setting.

I'll look at your database structure, your views and actions, your UX logic, and any privacy or data storage settings that could cause problems. I'll tell you what's working, what I'd change, and why. You leave with a clear list of things to act on.

I'm not a certified compliance officer and I don't offer legal advice. What I can do is flag the things that look risky and point you toward the settings that exist to address them. The rest is yours to own.

Package 1 — App Review Session

Includes: pre-call app review + 60-minute live call

Before we meet, I'll ask you to add me as a collaborator on your AppSheet project so I can look through your app in my own time. I'll review your database structure, UX and navigation, how your views and actions are set up, and any settings that look like they could cause problems — including privacy and data storage considerations relevant to your context.

On the call, I'll walk you through what I found. What's working, what I'd change, and why. You'll leave with a clear list of things to action at your own pace.

The work of changing things stays with you — but you'll leave knowing exactly what to change and why.

Package 2 — Review & Implementation

Includes: pre-call app review + 60-minute live call + second 60-minute follow up call with direct support

Everything in Package 1, plus a second session where we work through the changes together.

The two sessions can run back-to-back or on separate days — I'd generally recommend leaving a gap. It gives you time to attempt the changes yourself first, which means the second session is spent on the things that actually stumped you rather than things you could have figured out with a bit of time.

In the second session I'll guide you through the fixes directly in your app. You drive, I navigate. By the end you'll have made real progress and a clearer sense of how to keep building on it yourself.

Note: I'm an experienced AppSheet designer, not a certified compliance officer. I can flag settings and structures that look risky, but you remain responsible for your own legal and regulatory obligations.

A quick note on access: to review and work on your app directly, I'll need to be added as a collaborator, which requires a paid AppSheet plan (Core, at $10 USD/month). It's worth checking whether your organisation already has this covered through Google Workspace — many do. If you're unsure, we can sort it out before you book.
